Set your individual preferences for the system.

Item Description Actions
Title Your name as it will appear on the system. If it is written incorrectly just fill in your correct name.
Primary Group In "Your group can read/download" you see the group where you belong to. All files and folders you create belong to this group if not changed. none
Member Group(s) The list of groups displayed in "Member Group(s)" are all groups where you have additional membership. none
Language Owl Intranet is available in more than twenty languages. Choose your preferred language.
If your language is missing please contact the administrator.
Button Style There are different button styles available. You may choose whatever you like. Select your preferred button style from the dropdown selection.
Old Password To change you password you have to enter your old password. If you want to change your password
enter your current password here.
New Password Enter your new password.
Be careful in choosing a strong password that contains numbers as well as letters in small and big caps. Don't use any word from that can be found in a dictionary as your password.

Confirm New Password To help ensure you have entered your new password correctly enter it a second time for confirmation. If you want to change your password

E-Mail Address It is crucial that your e-mail address is correctl in this field as Owl may send you your password if forgotten. You may change your e-mail address by typing your new one into the field, e.g. user@example.com. If your email address is correct as it shows here, leave it as is

Receive Notifications If you would like to receive notifications about files and folders such as “new file uploaded” or “file updated” by e-mail turn on the checkmark in this field. Select your preference
Checked = you will receive notifications
Uncheck = you will not receive notifications.
Attach File If you want to receive your notifications with the file concerned attached to your notification turn on the checkmark in this field. Select your preference on whether you wish to receive a copy of the document with your notification emails.
Checked = notifications will contain an attachment
Uncheck = notifications will not contain an attachment
User Default View EXPANDED There are two views of documents defined, expanded and collapsed. The fields shown in each of these views is set by the system administrator. Select your preference
Checked - default view will be the expanded view
Unchecked - default view will be the collapsed view
User Initial Major Revision When a new document is added, there is a two part revision number assigned to the document. This is the starting value of the major revision number. Enter your preference for starting major revision number
User Initial Minor Revision When a new document is added, there is a two part revision number assigned to the document. This is the starting value of the minor revision number. Enter your preference for starting minor revision number
Login to New Records Page When you first log in you have two options for the first page you see
The browse view or the new records view
Select your preference
Checked - default view will be the new records page
Unchecked - default view will be the browse view home page
Comment Notification Check this field if you want to receive any comments made by other users as e-mail. Select your preference
Checked - to receive notifications when comments are made
Unchecked - to not receive notifications when comments are made
User Administrator This field identifies whether you can add new users to your primary group. none
News Administrator This field identifies whether you can add and maintaine news items. none
File Admin for Primary Group This field identifies if you can perform operations on files in the Owl system. none
Email Signature If you would like to change your email signature enter your signature information here.
